42Maru to Participate in IFA 2019

IFA is the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics

Sept. 3, 2019, noon

42Maru, a question answering (QA) artificial intelligence startup, will participate in IFA 2019, which is to be held in Berlin, Germany, from Sept. 6. Its booth will be set up at Hall 26.

IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) is one of the top three global IT exhibitions along with the CES in Las Vegas and MWC in Barcelona. In order to participate in these three exhibitions, an applicant is required to pass the internal evaluation done by the organizing company. 42Maru has been successful in participating in all three exhibitions this year.

42Maru will be introducing "Deep Semantic QA Platform" at IFA. The platform accurately understands the intention of a user’s question and delivers a single correct answer from a massive unstructured data set. It is based on a deep learning-based “natural language understanding (NLU) engine,” a “paraphrasing engine” to detect and expand analogous expressions, and a “machine reading comprehension (MRC) engine” of the highest standard in the world.

Recently, 42Maru was selected as an “Intel AI Builder” by Intel. Under the program, Intel selects and supports leading AI companies to promote AI innovation. Intel will provide diverse support for technology, marketing and investment.

42Maru was also selected for NVidia's “Inception” program earlier. The selection by Intel and NVidia is meaningful in that 42Maru can now leverage support from global companies that have the core CPU and GPU technologies.

D.K. Dong-hwan Kim, CEO of 42Maru, said, "Deep Semantic QA Platform is being applied in various industries such as finance, automotive and telecommunication.

Participation in IFA will be an opportunity for us to expand our European business from our headquarters in London to Berlin and many more cities."
